Riviera Maya
Post-Wedding Trip
After celebrating with us in Guadalajara, we’d love for anyone who wishes to continue the adventure to join us for a few fun days in the Riviera Maya. This post-wedding getaway is intended to give us the opportunity to spend more time together while exploring one of Mexico’s most beautiful destinations.
We’ve planned a few optional group activities each day, while leaving plenty of free time for everyone to enjoy the destination at their own pace.

Preferred Hotel
For our stay, we’ve chosen the All-Inclusive 5* Hotel
Iberostar Waves Quetzal
We picked this hotel as it is nestled between the jungle and the beach, but close to busy Playa del Carmen.
We have arranged a group discount code available at the time of booking via Iberostar.com: MARCEYTOMMY
This is for the dates April 5th to 9th, 2027, and can be extended by up to 3 days before or after.
The code will also give you a 20% Spa Discount.
Suggested Itinerary
We suggest you travel to Cancun on either Sunday, the 4th of April or Monday the 5th. You can stay in Cancun for as long as you want, but we will only make plans for the group from Monday to Thursday, as we are planning to head back to London on Friday.
Below is a general idea of the activities we would be looking to organise. Although we will facilitate the planning, we won’t be covering the cost of any of these activities, and if you sign up, you are expected to cover your expenses.
Monday 5
Tulum
Afternoon visit to the Tulum Ruins overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Followed by hanging out in Playa Paraíso (one of Mexico’s most beautiful beaches).
Tuesday 6
Chichén Itzá + Cenote visit
One of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
Distance from Cancún: ~2.5-3 hours
Wednesday 7
Xcaret Eco-park
The most famous eco-archaeological park with underground rivers, wildlife exhibits, and cultural performances. Expect to spend a full day there, with tickets typically costing around £140 per adult for the most popular admission option.
Thursday 8
Isla Mujeres
A short ferry ride from Cancún.
- Punta Sur cliffs and sculpture park
- Playa Norte
- Rent a golf cart and circle the island
